Explicação: O que é o Future Perfect Simple?

O Future Perfect Simple (Futuro Perfeito Simples) é usado para olhar para o futuro e falar sobre uma ação que estará concluída ou terminada antes de um tempo específico ou de outra ação no futuro.

Pense em um prazo (deadline) futuro: o Future Perfect descreve o que já terá acontecido até aquele momento.

Estrutura: will have + Past Participle (V3)

A estrutura é a mesma para todas as pessoas e requer o Past Participle (V3) do verbo principal.

Afirmativa:

Sujeito + will have ('ll have) + V3.

Ex: By next year, I will have graduated from university. (Até o ano que vem, terei me formado na universidade - a formatura estará completa antes do fim do ano que vem). Ex: The builders say they'll have finished the house by the end of May. (Os construtores dizem que terão terminado a casa até o final de maio). Ex: By the time you arrive, we will have eaten dinner. (Quando você chegar, nós já teremos jantado - o jantar estará completo antes da sua chegada).

Negativa:

Sujeito + won't have (will not have) + V3.

Ex: Don't worry, she won't have forgotten your birthday. (Não se preocupe, ela não terá esquecido seu aniversário - até o momento do aniversário). Ex: If you call me at 6 PM, I won't have arrived home yet. (Se você me ligar às 18h, eu ainda não terei chegado em casa).

Interrogativa:

Will + sujeito + have + V3?

Ex: Will you have completed the report by the deadline? (Você terá completado o relatório até o prazo?). Ex: How many countries will she have visited by the time she's 30? (Quantos países ela terá visitado até fazer 30 anos?).

Uso com By e By the time:

Estas expressões são muito comuns com o Future Perfect Simple para indicar o ponto limite no futuro:

  • By + Tempo/Data Específica: Ex: I will have saved enough money by December. Ex: The film won't have started by 8 PM.
  • By the time + Oração no Presente Simples: (Usamos o Presente Simples na oração com 'by the time' para indicar o evento futuro). Ex: By the time the guests arrive (Simple Present), we will have prepared (Future Perfect) everything. Ex: She will have left (Future Perfect) by the time you get (Simple Present) there.
Future Perfect vs. Simple Future:
- Use Future Perfect para uma ação completa ANTES de um ponto futuro.
   Ex: By 9 PM, I will have finished my work. (Às 21h, o trabalho estará terminado).
- Use Simple Future para uma ação que acontecerá EM ou DEPOIS de um ponto futuro.
   Ex: At 9 PM, I will finish / am going to finish my work. (Às 21h, eu terminarei o trabalho).

Falso Cognato: Record (verbo /rɪˈkɔːd/) significa "gravar" (som, vídeo) ou "registrar" (informação). O substantivo record (/ˈrekɔːd/) significa "registro", "gravação", "disco" ou "recorde". Não significa "recordar" (lembrar). Para "recordar", use remember ou recall.
Ex: Please record this meeting. (Por favor, grave esta reunião.) Ex: I don't remember his name. (Não me recordo/lembro do nome dele.)

Dica de Pronúncia: 'will have'

Na fala rápida, a combinação will have é frequentemente reduzida.

  • Após pronomes contraídos (I'll, you'll, he'll...): O som de 'have' pode se tornar um 'schwa' fraco /əv/ ou quase desaparecer. Ex: I'll have finished -> /aɪl əv ˈfɪnɪʃt/ ou /aɪlə ˈfɪnɪʃt/ Ex: They'll have left -> /ðeɪl əv left/ ou /ðeɪlə left/
  • Quando não contraído, 'will' e 'have' mantêm seus sons mais claros, mas 'have' pode ainda ser pronunciado de forma fraca /həv/ ou /əv/. Ex: When will you have finished? -> /wen wɪl juː əv ˈfɪnɪʃt/
